Welcome to EDL 701 Introduction to Educational Leadership

This is the starting line for your MS Educational Leadership degree program.

We will primarily use this site for discussion purposes since it takes a while for course enrollment to catch up to D2L, our university's course management system and where discussions in most other courses will occur.

To access the discussion portion, click on the Discussion Tab on the top of the page. You have to be a member of the group to join the discussion.

You can also access:
  1. the course syllabus
  2. sample electronic portfolio
  3. cohort program website
  4. MS Educational Leadership website
  5. Graduate Studies website
  6. Dr. Cramer's homepage

Now for some additional resources.

I'm recommending these as they are ones I read to keep in tune with a variety of educational issues/trends as well as leadership information. They are all free but to take time to scan.

sample "story":
Why CEOs secretly hate innovation
Though they'd never admit it, the idea of innovation makes many senior leaders queasy, writes Jeffrey Phillips. Bosses like to be in control, but innovation is inherently about breaking rules and shaking up the status quo. "The more innovation that happens in an organization, the less control the CEO has ... therefore innovation is tightly controlled if allowed at all," Phillips writes. Innovate on Purpose (1/4)
